Bio
Well, if I can start off somewhere, I'd start off a year back...maybe a little more. It was...well, it was either Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, or Saturday...definitely not Sunday, but either one of those 6 days. Anyways, I was very bored...like I always am, and I was surfing on YouTube and I happened to stumble onto the video 'Yellow Fever' by the guys at Wong Fu Productions (http://www.wongfuproductions.com/). And I couldn't believe how funny these guys were, these guys were so good at what they do and they were so successful as well. At that time I was still debating over who I should be, whether I should be a Doctor, a Lawyer, and the list goes on. But it wasn't til' I saw these guys that I realized that I have spent most of life in the theatres and buying DVD's to watch...other than spending time on the computer with games and customizing new PC ideas.

Wong Fu Productions made me realize that it doesn't always have to be about BIG pictures and BIG productions, even with a small camcorder they pull it off and I am truly inspired by that. Although I was only saying that I wanted to be a filmmaker it wasn't until my friends were making a parody of the very popular game in which I spend most of time aside from thinking/planning/making new short videos/movies, they were making a parody of Counter-Strike. Everybody found it really funny and so did I. So a week later my friend and I...being the bored people we were sitting in my living room watching nothing but commercials and eating Chocolate, we got the perfect idea. We made our first video together...and it was that night that I realized...I want to do this for the rest of my life. It wasn't the idea of being famous or the idea of making fifteeen-million bucks a movie, but it was because I enjoyed it. Don't get me wrong, being famous and being respected by billions of fans, or being paid ridiculously large pay-cheques to do a movie isn't bad, but that's not what I'm about.

I want to be a filmmaker, whether Independent or Hollywood, it doesn't matter.

Being said that, I'm a little worried. The common dream is to do something you want and hopefully all is well. But at the end of the day, and I don't want to sound hypocritical or anything, but at the end of the day it is about making money to support yourself/family/friends. Now I'm not saying I'm going to quit my dream just so I can make a few bucks. But after a few videos I realized that in order for me to be successful, I need feedback whether it'd be positive or negative. I mean, I have friends that give me feedback but most of it is positive with just a few negative hints, now it's either I'm really good, or my friends are trying to be nice. I'm going with the 2nd option.

I've made 20 short videos so far, all of them are comedy-inspired as our group name is - P.M. Comedy, and everything is really good and going well, but what I've noticed is that I haven't been getting as many hits/views as I wish to see at the end of the day. Please, don't get me wrong, it's not like I'm fame-obsessed, I just want people to judge my videos so that I can improve as a filmmaker or wannabe-filmmaker as the pros will say. I wish to be just as good as Christopher Nolan, or the Wachowski Brothers. Of coures there are MANY other directors/filmmakers out there that I'm inspired by, but those are the only ones that can come to mind right now.

I'm getting off topic.

Now, back to topic, I wish to expand my network, right now I only have the YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=pmcomedy), which doesn't get a lot of hits, and I have a Facebook group...but let's just say that my Facebook group...is as dead as the gum stuck under your desks at school. Nobody gives me feedback and barely anybody talks in that group. So I figured I'd open up a site...but I realized that if I was going to be paying $179.40+ a year on a site and have NOBODY visit it, I'd be wasting money, no? By now, if you're still reading, you should see my dilemma. First of all...I don't have a lot of people who watch, second of all...I have no REALLY DOWN HEART HONEST feedback, third of all...I want to expand my network...but I'd be spending close to $200 bucks with nobody coming to the site, and last of all...my parents/family don't believe in me. They say stuff like "You're not going to make it, even if you make it, you're only going to be minorly known, you're not going to be famous." or stuff like "Oscar, seriously...how many Asian Directors make it into the Independent filmmaking scene..." or even worse, "how many Asian Directors make it into Hollywood?" They've been trying to push me out of my dream, I've already dropped 'Film' as one of my potential majors for University. I don't even want to get into that now. But I've done enough to try to do what they want, but I mean, we're brought up and taught and nurtured into this world to do stuff for ourselves. Not for our parents...even though we do have to help out our parents once in awhile. Our lives shouldn't be theirs. (That sounds selfish, but I don't mean it in the way you probably think)

I was seriously thinking of giving up.

But then a friend gave me a reality check. They clarified everything up for me, and reset me back on my goals and dreams. Now I'm back on the filmmaking scene, I'm dedicated and VERY optimistic. I'm always hoping and aiming for the "big picture". So I'm going to open a site soon, but like I stated before, there are money issues. If I'm going to be spending close to $200 a year...and trust me for an eleventh-grader, that's a lot of money. If I'm going to be spending close to that amount a year for a site and spending most of my time editing/designing/leading that site...I need some feedback/response. I need some friends/fans/critics to push me through. I can only improve by getting feedback. I didn't know what I should do. And the same friend suggested to me to blog. Blog and I'd get some feedback on maybe some of my videos.

So, I'm here now. Hoping that I can collect a few more friends on the way as well as fans and maybe some critics. And don't get me wrong, I'm not here just because I want to open a site. I like to read and blog too! So don't think I'm here just for myself.

So far I've got a big bunch of friends that are in my Production Team: L.A.O. Productions. And let me tell you, these guys are the best bunch I've ever been with. I'm leading the Production Team with 2 other founders, one is the other founder of - P.M. Comedy which is a segment of L.A.O. Productions and my other friend who's the other founder of L.A.O. Productions. We've got a LOT of ideas of shows/movies in mind. And stay tuned for more information and possibly info about the site!

INTERESTS - I like to say some stuff about my interests and there's a limit in the box below, so I'll put my interests here ^^

"I like..."

- Hanging out with my friends (This is number 1, friends are so important, without my friends...I wouldn't be the person I am today)

- Movies (I have LOT of favorites...so I'm not going to list. But I'll give you this, I am a 'Matrix' geek, I'm practically a fan of all Action-based Wachowski Brothers' projects. I absolutely hate 'Lord of the Rings' I absolutely hate it. I cannot be forced into a seat for more than 3 hours looking at people walk, I'm sorry 'Lord of the Rings' fans out there, I truly am, but I do not like it, and I don't like the books. I like 'Star Wars' but I'm not a fan, and last of all, my favorite movie...right now is 'The Prestige'...amazing movie, Christian Bale is an amazing actor. Now there is a LOT of movies that I am a fan of, but like I said, there's too much, and I can't even begin to tell you how much Jet Li is my idol. So don't get me started.)

- Photography (I'll post some prints later on in my blogs)

- PC Gaming (So far I am the PwNerEr at 'Counter-Strike: Source', the 'Unreal Tournament' series, the 'HALO' series on PC, and much, MUCH, much more games)

- T.V. Shows ('Lost', 'Heroes', and 'Friends' trying to get started on 'The Office' if I can get my hands on it)

- Console Gaming (The Nintendo Wii...zomg...it's like a drug...and occasionaly the PS3 and the XBOX360, but I absolutely HATE XBOX and PS3 is kinda overpriced and overrated right now)

- Music (I am so far Grd. 9 in Piano and an absolute NUB at Guitar, still learning though/as for listening...I listen to EVERYTHING. Picture this, for NOW, 1272 songs on iTunes...and still counting)

- Computers (Software & Hardware/customizing PC's/upgrading parts for the PC)
